History                           

    The library was established along with the Agricultural Teacher Training School on May 19, 1924. The name was later changed to Mun Teacher Training School. Chiang Mai Province in the year 1942

       In 1960, the status was raised to Chiang Mai Teachers College and the library was developed into the Chiang Mai Teachers College Library, which was originally located in the combined classroom building No. 3, 2nd floor, using 4 classrooms as a library.

        In 1974, the library moved to Building 6, a four-story independent building, which is now the Information Technology Building.

    1992: 36 teacher colleges throughout the country. Received royal grace from His Majesty the King and bestowed the title of “Rajabhat Institute” The library has therefore changed its name to Chiang Mai Rajabhat Institute Library

1995 The Rajabhat Institute Act 1995 was promulgated, making the Rajabhat Institute a Institute of Higher Education for Local Development The objective is to provide academic and professional education, conduct research, provide academic services to society, improve, transfer and develop technology, and preserve arts and culture. Produce teachers and promote teacher education

1996 The Institute established an Internet Service Center in August 1996 to serve as a source of learning resources for students, teachers, and to fully develop the Institute's Internet system (Source : Annual Report 1999).

1997 The institute established a computer service center. which was formerly affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Information Technology to support teaching and training To develop students' computer skills and knowledge. Professor of the institute

In 2000, the library status and nature of services were changed to Resource Center and moved to the Academic Resources Building (Building 26) in June 2000 for modernization.

2001 The Internet Service Center and Computer Service Center moved to the Information Technology Building. To support expansion and support teaching and development of information technology.

In the same year, the Chiang Mai Rajabhat Institute expanded its study area to the Saluang-Khilek area. and Mae Sa area Resource Center Therefore, a library was established in the said study area. To adequately meet the needs of service users in distant areas

In 2003, the Institute merged the Internet Service Center into the same unit as the Computer Service Center. To support operations and development of information technology to be efficient and effective.

2004 Mae Hong Son College was established at Pang Mu Subdistrict, Mueang District, Mae Hong Son Province, on an area of ​​​​​​109 rai 6 square wah.

This year, His Majesty the King His Majesty the King graciously signed the Act. Chiang Mai Rajabhat University 2004 on June 10, 2004, which resulted in Chiang Mai Rajabhat Institute changing its name to Rajabhat University. and has the status of a complete juristic person and on June 14, 2004 and the Rajabhat University Act of 2004 was announced in the Royal Gazette 

2005, the university combined the structures of the computer service center and the resource center. In order to comply with the Rajabhat University Act, it is the "Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology"   with Assistant Professor Rampai Saengruang serving as the director. 2009 Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, with Professor Dr. Supakrit Metheephokaphong serving as director. Since 9 March 2009

2015 Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology Changed name to “Library Office” on February 17, 2015, with Professor Dr. Supakrit Metheephokphong holding the position of Acting Director until  June 3, 2015.

On June 4, 2015, the Library Office, with Professor Dr. Suthinan Chomchom, holding the position of Director until the present.
